At Artistry in Motion Dance Company we believe in fostering a healthy and nurturing environment that challenges and pushes each of our competitive dance team members to ASCEND to their very best and to find their own unique voice and artistry. Our dancers are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones, believe in their power, and support one another in each other's goals and dreams. We are more than just a team, and it's more than just competition... we ASCEND!
Company members must audition and commit to a rigorous schedule of classes and training. This program is for intermediate and advanced dancers only, looking to really improve their dance technique and artistry. All ASCEND dancers are required to take a minimum of 7 - 10 classes per week depending on their age and skill level. Dancers are trained extensively in ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, musical theater, and contemporary dance. Dancers can also train in tap and hip hop.
The ASCEND company attends and competes at 6 - 7 events per season depending on age and level, with group, solo, duo, and trio performances. They also participate in a Holiday Show and present their work in the AIM annual recital!
